This is a set of 5 Varo silicon high voltage diodes, with a peak inverse voltage of 45kV, a peak forward current of 200mA, and an average forward current of 5mA. One has the part number H445-2, and the other four have the part number H484. They were made in the early 1970s, according to the date codes, and are all electrically similar to the ECG\NTE 513. These diodes have a fast recovery time, and were originally designed for use in television high voltage power supplies operating at 15.75KHz. However, they were also used in various other high voltage physics and scientific instruments as well. The diode's top disc cap is negative, and the bottom cap is positive. These devices have the following physical dimensions: Metal end cap diameter 0.360" ( 9.14mm ), Metal cap length 0.41" ( 10.41mm ), Device length ( cap end to cap end 3.72" \ 94.49mm ), Device diameter 0.5" ( 12.7mm ), Device top disc diameter 1.18" ( 29.97mm ). These diodes are sold with a 60 day warranty against failure when used in accord with their respective electrical ratings. The warranty is limited to a refund of the purchase price only. It is normally shipped one business day after full payment has been received by me. US Buyers can have their items sent to a Canadian address if it complies with eBay and PayPal policy.
