Hello, my name is Angela and Thank You for looking at my auction. This auction is set up to help a 16 year old that was hit by a car why riding his bike with his recovery. This just happened 12-3-13 and his family has been through a lot already and is struggling financially. So, the community is trying to help because this young man was/is well known and liked. Some of his injuries include: big gash on leg with stitches-broken femur -lung collapsed-bruised spleen-broken ribs (which caused his lung to collapse)-big huge bruise on back/butt from bike seat-fractured back- couldn't breathe on own (now he is breathing on his own)-lost 10 teeth-multiple loose teeth-tongue cut almost in half-broke nose in 2 places-his bone where the tear duct is like slivers –big cuts/gashes on left side of his face-blood on/in brain (bleeding has since stopped)- swelling of brain- adult shaken baby syndrome-big scrapes/road rash on fingertips. He has caught c-diff, run a fever (for first 4 weeks-now fever free) and high blood pressure (which they have placed him on medicine to control). I am NOT trying making money on shipping! Any $$$ left over from what the shipping charge is, goes to the shipping supplies I have to buy to ship items in, eBay fees, PayPal fees and or the family. I try to keep rates low but, I have to sometimes buy boxes, bubble wrap or something like that to protect your items from being damaged in shipping and that is where any and all extra $$$ left over from one to another's shipping charges goes. Again, Thanks for giving me the chance to raise some money here and I am on the computer off and on every day, so ask any and all ??? I will do my best to answer your questions!!!! I took a pic of the red knob because it has a crack... not sure if that makes any difference. as you see it still tightens up. **** this was just made and given to sell to raise money for this young boy who has a long road of recovery ahead of him. This auction is being sold AS IS………………..do to this is to raise money for Brandon. ****************************************************** . RETURNS: I do my best to describe items before and during the auction. GOOD and NICE mean different things to different people, I do my best but I sell items one time not to be returned. Once payment has cleared and I ship item/items off the money that is from this auction is given to the family so I will not be able to refund any money to ANYONE. If for some odd reason there is a problem and some kind of refund is in order I can only give credit for future purchases. What that means is NO! Cash refunds! Again, Thank You for giving me the chance to make a few bucks here for this family. As most of us know that a healthy kid is not cheap so when you add medical bills, rehab apts, remodeling, medical supplies that are needed to accommodate a teen with disabilities... it will get quite expensive (little alone all the time off work his family will have take just to make sure he gets to and from his apt.) I think the thing that is so sad is his mother moved to another state in the summer and he was living with his aunt (because he didn’t want to leave his friends/family) until he graduated from high school. His mother has other children with medical needs so she can’t just pack up and move back. She has been spending every 2 weeks driving from one state to another so she can be with her son that is in the hospital which is becoming very costly on her.
