This low pass / high pass duplexer was originally specified for 850-960 / 1710-1900 MHz duplexing. However it covers much wider frequency range as shown. **Every individual item is tested prior to shipment** Common types of duplexers: Duplexers typically come in two types, bandpass / bandpass, and lowpass / highpass. Other types are less common. In cellular applications uplink / downlink duplexers are typically bandpass / bandpass, due to high isolation required between transmit and receive. In LTE C/A downlink carrier aggregation, lowpass / highpass are common as the aggregated spectrum typically (not always) is sufficiently far apart in frequency. You need to test receive without being compressed by the transmit on the same RF path. The RF paths can be simply separated by a duplexer. Case 2a: specific cellular test case By inserting a pair of duplexers between the UE / handset and LTE basestation, the RX and TX can be completely separated for test. This allows tweaking the propagation channel for DL / UL or both, receiver testing without interference from TX, or transmitter EVM measurements.
