Super clean Ludlum model 12 and 44-3 low energy scintillator probe gamma, and X-ray detector. Model 12 survey meter 0-10,000 CPS and 0-2.5 kV. in four decades. Fast / slow response switch, audio on / off switch, and reset button. high voltage test button Powered by 2 D size batteries up to 2,000 hrs. with alkaline. This model runs $300.00+ more than model 3 due to the extended high voltage range, direct reading high Voltage meter, and adjustable threshold / discriminator. Read out in C.P.S. counts per second provides much faster rise and wider spread than C.P.M. Adjustable regulated high Voltage will support scintillators, GM detectors, proportional, and other than 900 Volt probes. This instrument favors scintillation and proportional probes, and still very usable with GM detectors. Just calibrated in C.P.S. as well as setting threshold at 10mV, and calibrated high Volt meter. This instrument came from a medical lab and was very well cared fore. The 44-3 scintillator probe was refurbished and has a new 1" X 1mm Nai(TI) crystal $175.00 from Ludlum like new sensitivity ( NO PETRI DISH CRYSTAL HERE ) photo 7 shows normal background photo 8 shows response to a Tritium key fob ( try that with an old crystal ) has been checked with various isotopes for efficiency as stated by the Ludlum specifications.
