Very nice and very rare to find Ludlum Model 16 Analyzer in Great Condition and Calibrated, with optional Overload Function installed. This is one of the better condition Ludlum Meters you will typically see listed here on eBay. These units are excellent for working with scintillator and proportional detectors, as well as GMs. Of course you probably know that like the Model 12, the Model 16 has the HV readout on its meter. You can also set threshold like the Model 12, only the Model 16 has a toggle for a "Window" above whatever your Threshold is set for. That allows for identification of specific energy range with the "Window" toggle is used. This is great for targeting a specific isotope. Unit comes count rate calibrated and set for 900 volts output with a 20mV threshold and currently set for a 2mV Window. This particular Model 16 also has the OL (Overload) function and LED installed. You can see the red LED on the right of the meter face. The OL threshold is also adjustable by CAL Pot. I can adjust any of the settings if you prefer a different setup. This unit ships with a Ludlum type C connector. The Model 16 with Overload circuit is currently $1620.00 on the Ludlum list price. That's more than a $800 premium over the Model 3, and it supports more detectors. It has much greater HV range and a built in High Voltage Meter (no more guessing the voltage when switching probes or plateauing the scintillator detector). Threshold is also adjustable on the Model 16, great for working with scintillator and proportional detectors. This unit has been thoroughly inspected, and calibrated.
