We are selling several of these, the photo is of a single unit.  They are all in the same condition. This is an extremely versatile meter to buy.  With this one meter, you can operate your entire radiation measurement operation. We have sold many of these to people in Japan who like the scaler function to measure low levels of radiation when paired with a scintillation probe like a Ludlum Model 44-10.  These are frequently used for walkover surveys and coupled with a GPS unit measuring contamination and can also be used with GPS, Datalogger, and a Scintillation probe for prospecting for uranium. It will drive any probe you can think of to measure radiation.  GM, Scintillators (BGO, NaI, plastic, etc), gas flow proportionals, alpha and beta probes, etc.  The scaler function can be used to take spot measurements and compare them to averages with timed counts using the digital scaler (this was done by people in Japan looking for contamination on food and shipments overseas after Fukushima).  Great for when you find a hot spot either during a survey to quantify the measurement.  You can use this as a laboratory counter to count swipes and air samples with a suitable probe.  You can do gamma counting too. Switching probes is easy as the digital scale shows the various setpoints so you can change probes on the fly.  HV, Threshold, Window, etc. See more details below. Ludlum Model 2221   Radiation Scaler/Ratemeter, Single Channel Analyzer ?  Digital Radiation Ratemeter with Built-In Scaler ?  Dual Analog Meter and Digital LCD Presentation ?  Rich Array of Discrete Front Panel Controls ?  Single Channel Analyzer ?  Wide Range HV ?  Overload Protection ?  Supports GM, Proportional and Scintillation Detectors The Ludlum Model 2221 is a general purpose radiation ratemeter and scaler that provides a customary analog display for optimally viewing the count rate and rate of change through all possible four decades of display. It is accompanied by a digital LCD which can present either the count rate data or be switched over to read the scaler counts. What makes this instrument so well liked by experts is its rich array of logically arranged discrete controls on the front panel that permit precise control of the desired measurement. Control functions available include, decade range selection, scaler count time, power on/off, response setting, LCD analog/digital switch, PHA window switch, lamp, audio divide by, audio volume, count zeroing, scaler start/halt. The wide range high voltage supply supports a wide variety of detectors with additional threshold and window settings that facilitate switching between gross counts and the energy band. The instrument housing is cast aluminum with a separate battery compartment and accompanying metal handle. This design delivers industrial robustness, quality, capability, and versatility that is difficult to surpass anywhere.
