This is a used MacGregor Model M3-20 High Frequency Linear DC Resistance Dual Pulse Micro Welder (HFDC) in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. Built in England and supported in the US by MacGregor Systems in San Diego (Tel: 858 586 9000). Original cost $20,000 and still available, although they just released a new model with similar specs. Originally purchased by a government lab, we obtained it for a project which did not materialize. It is a multi-voltage, single phase machine (110v or 220v--currently set up for 110v), compact power supply featuring a self teaching user friendly simple function key based user interface, with full color graphical monitoring. The M3-20 provides fully programmable profiles with Current, Voltage and Power Control. It features: - Programmed pulse times from 0.1 ms to 999ms - 2000A maximum capability - Fully Programmable Dual Pulse Profiles The full profile weld monitoring system provides accurate and detailed monitoring of the welding process. This system allows for known acceptable welds to be logged and averaged for full profile weld verification. Complete profile tolerancing with active window selection allows for monitoring of process variations throughout the profile or only in critical profile areas. The programmable auto- mapping tolerances allow for simple widening or contracting of the acceptable welding process. Multiple process averages and tolerances can be stored. Full waveform download capability for use in SPC and automation related applications is an integral feature. The standard I/O RS232 / 485 for PC also allows for simple integration into PLC or control systems, as well as easy connection to manual micro welding heads.
