This is a tool for a machinist. I do not know the exact name for it. If you do I would appreciate you letting me know. It is 2 & 7/8" x 2 & 1/2". The rod with the two sharp pin points rotates on axis and the rod itself is adjustable up and down. Precision results from turning the knob on top which raises or lowers the two pin rod very slowly and with micro precision with threaded thumb screw and spring loaded mechanism. The unit looks to sit on a lathe or drill press. A machinist or experienced tool expert can, no doubt, make the best use of this item. It is old but fine condition and every thing  works will. The points are precise and sharp! Believe it! It will be shipped with corks on both points for their safety and yours.  We sell and ship worldwide.
