I spent 30 years as a Special Machine Builder and Machinist.  I retired from the tooling trade over 20 years ago so the time has come to pass along my precision tools and tooling to someone who has a use for them. For sale is my 30 year collection of +.005 over sized taps in various sizes - 3/4 10 and 16 thru 4-48.  See the photos for a description, condition and quantity of each.  I marked all my +.005 oversize taps with red marker just so they didn't get mixed in with the standard size taps.  These taps have never tapped a hole.  They are lightly used and some new.  What I did was use them for +.005 over sizing an existing tapped hole, chasing the thread, to open them up for heat treated detail work.  This allowed the hole to shrink in heat treating and allow a screw to fit properly after heat treat.  I would run an old standard tap in the threads after heat treat to clean them out before assembly.  I retired in 1992 and they have been in a drawer for 20+ years.  Time to pass them on.   If you need additional photos or have a question please email me with your concerns before bidding.  Thank you for looking.  Please see other items I have listed. ***ALL ITEMS ARE BEING SOLD IN “AS-IS” CONDITION*** ***WE ARE WILLING TO COMBINE PURCHASES TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COSTS*** ***SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SALES***
