Very fine shavings of 99.9% pure magnesium (symbol Mg) metal. Great for survival camping, recreation, and scientific research. It is fresh material and has never been contaminated. Magnesium has a high flashpoint. Nevertheless, you have to be extremely careful with it because once it catches fire it is almost impossible to extinguish. It will burn in things that are normally used to extinguish fire, e.g., in carbon dioxide (makes carbon), under water (makes hydrogen), buried in sand (makes silicon). We are not responsible for any injuries or damages caused by any use or misuse of this material.  The item will be shipped such that it complies with all USPS regulations and this item will be shipped ORM-D.
