Replicator 2 / 2X Type K Thermocouple (TC) (Makerbot Replicator 2, 2X. May fit other clone type machines but this is as-yet untested by us so users do so at their own risk) This is a replacement and upgrade for the factory Makerbot Replicator 2 and 2X stock thermocouple. Our thermocouple features the same brass hex connector for easy installation. Rigid heat shrink tubing protects the TC as it enters the hex connector. Thermocouples are encased in a protective fiberglass overbraid insulation good to 900°F. Ends are stripped (for connecting to terminal block) and overall length is 42" to 52" to ensure you won't be short (any excess during installation may be easily coiled up out of the way or cut off and re-stripped). For the most economical replacement, choose our solid wire TCs. If you want the ultimate upgrade and want your TC to last over the most rigorous flex cycles, then our stranded wire TC is the way to go. Both utilize 24ga wire. This product is considered an advanced upgrade and should not be attempted by those without a rudimentary understanding of wiring and their machine design and a basic comfort level with such repairs and upgrades.
