It’s also used to create the same color of glass. • A compound of Manganese: permanganate is a powerful oxidizing agent and is used in medicine. •Large quantities of manganese nodules can be found on the ocean floor.   •Throughout World War II, manganese replaced the majority of the nickel in US coins, as nickel became scares.  •It is chemically reactive and slowly decomposes in cold water. •Cave paintings dating from the Stone Age contained manganese pigments. •It oxidizes effortlessly, but does not fuse very easily. •Manganese has ones stable isotope, Mn-55. •It rusts in a matter much the same to iron in water  • Very little Manganese is used in all animal and plant life.  This is high quality yet cheap affordable Manganese Safety / Caution  •Keep out of reach from children! •May be slightly toxic if ingested •Do not ingest  •While manganese is non-toxic in tiny amounts, its dust can have dangerous effects. •When working with Manganese use appropriate protection.
