Manufacturer Description The MPF-20 Spinning Prefeeder is a device for removing wire from reels with almost no back tension on the wire. This feature enables the MPF-20 to be used with virtually all automatic wire processing machines, from programmable table top units to full scale cut, strip, and terminating machines. The device features a belt-driven dish that spins at a constant velocity allowing wire to be unreeled at speeds of up to 10 m/s. This constant spin speed of the dish facilitates wire being fed at a continuous rate the instant there is the slightest tension on the wire. Therefore the wire supply to the wire processing machine is continuous and ready at a moments notice. A unique reel loading system is integral to the design with a reel positioning and locking mechanism that facilitates quick loading and securing of reels into the prefeeder without the use of tools. (76.25 kg) The unit was used in our cable manufacturing facility and works moderately well; it is very helpful when a reel shaft breaks as the spool does not need to be rotated to be unreeled. It is great condition and is fully operational. It comes three "dish feeders" as shown. Not all insulation types and conductor combinations work well with this machine.
