Nice used system, only a couple years old (2012) with very low mileage. System was $50k+ new. You can travel to site to review system and cash and carry if needed. Video NystaGmography (VNG) is a non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical technology that provides an objective diagnosis of the cause of dizziness, unsteadiness, vertigo and other balance disorders using normative data. Because it provides an objective measurement of the patient's progress, it can also be used to determine the effectiveness of treatments for balance disorders. The system comes with 3 pieces of equipment 1) Bertec Balance Plate System (see attached) with laptop and printer; 2) Medtrak VNG with another laptop and another printer; and 3) Varioair Caloric Testing by Atmos (see attached). The company I purchased the equipment from can come on site and complete set up and training if needed. Also I used Interpra which provide a Neurologist interpreted report for the patient's chart or for the referring physician. Cost is $50 per patient report but you do not need to use that service, just available if needed. Here is some additional information: What works well is giving every 65 year or older a balance questionnire and anyone who reported positive symptoms (70% of those completing the questionnaire) were than tested on the Balance Plate with reimbursement plus the office visit. A positive balance Plate results would have us then complete VNG/Calorics and the patient would return to discuss the results and treatment (another office visit).
