Modified description from the product data sheet: The Melles Griot 56 RCS-series diode laser assemblies provide excellent beam quality and high output power at 442 nm. This laser features high speed modulation with rise and fall times of <70 nsec and <1 nsec respectively. Based on the proven platform of the 56 ICS series, these products include an improved user interface with an hour meter, diagnostic LEDs, and user control of laser and TEC current. Advanced optics positioning techniques achieve precise beam divergence, far-field beam circularity of greater than 95 percent, and improved beam quality. 56 RCS-series lasers are self-contained. The 442, nm model requires only 9 Vdc power input. The excellent beam quality and high-speed modulation make these lasers ideal for confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and reprographics applications. This laser is ~40 mW 442 nm, TEM 00 with both analog and digital modulation! Tested by Sam at Sam's Laser FAQ and then again by me; this laser is like new perfect. Buy with a big smile. :)
