One of the boxes is sold- Only one is available! This is #2 of 2 units.  These are heavy (27 lbs each) metal instrument cases .  They are 30" long and 11" X 11" exterior dimensions.  They would take contents about 27 X10X10.  The lids are detachable with 6 pull down buckle closures and a built in seal that would make them dust proof and nearly water proof. The handles fold down and are in good condition.  The exterior is painted silver and has signs of wear and some rusty spots.  They are marked with DOD numbers which I assume are Department of Defense and "Delicate Instrument".  They could use a good coat of paint but are completely sound.  The interiors are painted green and have slotted rails that could be used to hold padding needed for specific instruments or equipment.  I don't know what the metal is but it is very heavy and I assume it is cast metal rather than shaped, rolled material.  I believe you could drive a vehicle over these boxes but I haven't tried it.  If you need secure storage or shipping for expensive equipment. padding out the inside of these boxes would give you virtually indestructible cases.

Seller Notes “these crates show considerable wear with multiple scratches, rubs and small areas of surface rust. They are sound, but do need to be cleaned up and painted.”
