This is a Metrotech 810DX RF Pipe & Cable RF Locator System. This kit consists of a transmitter & receiver for locating cables & pipes underground and in other locations. All components are in fair-to-good physical condition with scuffs, scratches and wear from normal field usage. There's various spray paint marks on the components and some tape on the transmitter (to hold the instruction label in place). All buttons, controls and connectors are in good shape. There is no case included, just the transmitter and receiver as pictured. All battery compartments are clean with no issues present (no battery leakage, no corrosion). The transmitter operates off of 6-standard D-Cell batteries (not included). The receiver operates off of 8 standard AA batteries (also not included). Both units power on perfectly and the receiver is able to pickup the signal from the transmitter with no issues. Signal strength indicator rises as it's brought closer to the unit. It is in very good operating condition. The display on the receiver is in excellent shape with no defects to report. When the transmitter is powered on, the power and power strength LED's blink accordingly. When the receiver is powered on, the display turns on and the audio feedback/display move according to how close the receiver is to the transmitter. No leads, ground rod or case is included. They aren't need for operation but may help tracing in certain scenarious, a new lead set can easily be made with a 1/4" phono jack and some alligator clips, otherwise I see many sellers selling lead sets online.
