This balance was surplussed by the North Carolina community college system.  It can be assumed that it was used in a teaching laboratory.  I cleaned and tested it.  It appears to work well.  That said, I do not have the proper tools to very that it is perfectly calibrated.  I am rather familiar with lab instrumentation.  I have spent 15+ years of my life working in laboratory environments, about half of which was work as a field applications scientist and service engineer for robotic laboratory instrumentation.  Why am I telling you this?  So that you perhaps a bit more confidence in my assertion that this balance appears to be in good shape.  In one of the pictures I am weighing a few grains of salt, which is why the balance does not read 0.0g. There is a very small chip in the corner of one of the glass side shields.  I tried to photograph it. It will be carefully packed for shipping and fully insured.  Chili pepper not included.
