MicroManipulator 2230 Wafer Level Electromigration Test Station Prober Comes with what you see in the pictures. If you don't see it, you probably wont get it. Specifications are from MicroManipulator and are for a 2230 (non custom) model, as such, they may vary slightly due to upgrades, options, or revisions this unit may or may not have. The Probe Station is sold as-is. It is in new or like-new condition on the original pallet from Intel. Brief Description: This was a custom built station for Intel called a Probe Station III. It is very similar to a 2230 Electromigration Test Station except the 2230 has two prober stations and this one has three. Information From the Unit: Model Number: Probe Station III (Made for Intel, a variation of the 2230) Serial Number: 919326 Chuck Size: 6" Approx. (each chuck has a ring that is 6" ID and 7" OD approx.) Number of Chucks: 3 Thermocouple Connections: 1 per station for a total of 3 Vacuum Connections Per Station: 10 Vacuum Connections per station (there is only 5 on one of them) Prober Connections: 10 BNC Connections per Station Key Features of the 2230: Large area triple ground steel platens accommodate multiple vacuum or magnetic base manipulators Platens tooled for Model 2230-FPC-FRX fixed probe card (this may be different) Dual independent platen lift levers for fast probe disengagement Platen planarity adjustment controls Three 6 in. stage assemblies for simultaneous analysis of three wafers Dual manual drive controls provide precise and separate 6 in. x 6 in., X,Y translation for each stage Can use an optional hot stage with platinumized chuck surface and kinematic mount to minimize vertical expansion (these may be installed, please see pictures of chucks) Can be used with optional hot stage controllers with IEEE computer interface and ambient to 399°C temperature range (these are not with the unit) Vibration isolation table with vertical air suspension and servo-controlled automatic leveling system (There is no controller for the servo) Massive microscope mount and translation assembly for stability and X,Y travel Microscope optional, not installed 2230 Prober Description: The Model 2230 Electromigration Test Station is specifically designed for maximum utilization and efficiency in electromigration analysis at the wafer level. This user created instrument features massive triple platens and triple stage assemblies for simultaneous data acquisition on multiple wafers. Each platen accommodates up to twenty-two magnetic or vacuum base manipulators, and in addition, each is tooled to receive the Model 2230-FPC-FR probe card adaptor (this may not be tooled for that). Conveniently placed independent platen positioning controls provide a fast lift function to rapidly raise all probes from the wafer. Planarity adjustment is incorporated to assure probe touch-down uniformity. Triple 6 in. vacuum stage assemblies are permanently fixed to the integral vibration isolation table. Precise stae translation controls permit 6 in. x 6 in. X, Y movement. Accurate positioning of individual probes or probe cards is easily accomplished using the microscope translation capability. The massive microscope support assembly provides stability and smooth operator control. The Model 2230 accommodates 3 optional Model HSM 6 in. hot stages. The HSM-6 chuck surface is platinumized to virtually eliminate contamination. (Note: gold can contribute serious contamination - especially to bipolar devices.) In addition the chuck is kinematically mounted to minimize vertical expansion during heat cycles. The HSM-6 offers a temperature range from ambient to 399°C with control to 1°C. Heating and cooling cycles are fast with no overshoot. The Model 2230 meets the requirements for today's most exacting electromigration test applications. 2230 Platen Specifications: Each platen accepts up to 2 vacuum or magnetic base manipulators Each platen tooled for Model 2230-FPC-FR probe card adaptor Grounded steel construction, nickel plated for durability Manual "Z" axis travel of 1/2 in. for probe disengagement Planarity adjustment provided 2230 X,Y Stage Assembly Specifications: Triple 6 in. stage assemblies securely attached to table top 6 in. x 6 in. (X,Y) stage translation with independent X,Y controls for each stage Accommodates 3 ea. 6 in. ambient chucks or 3 ea. optional hot chucks Microscope and Post Specifications: X,Y Translation: 36 in. x 13 in. (91.4 mm x 33 mm) with fast manual coarse and fine adjustment (not sure about this, I figure it moves left-to-right about 70") Position lock-down controls Vertical positioning; focus mount only Coarse and fine focus control (standard on microscope) - microscope not included Table Specifications: Similar to a Model MM1201-02-11 vibration isolation table Vertical air suspension Active servo-controlled automatic leveling system (I don't know if this needs a separate controller, but it isn't there) 12 dB/octave isolation rate (above 2 Hz-theoretical) Ominidirectional vibration isolation For More Pictures Please Click the following (Please look to see what you are getting!!): Picture 2 (Front View w/ Pinch Guard) Picture 3 (Back View) Picture 4 (Right View) Picture 5 (Left View) Picture 6 (Right View - Close-up) Picture 7 (Left View - Close-up) Picture 8 (Chuck Station #1) Picture 9 (Chuck Station #2) Picture 10 (Chuck Station #3) Picture 11 (Up/Down Control #1 (1 per station)) Picture 12 (Up/Down Control #2) Picture 13 (Up/Down Control #3) Picture 14 (Microscope Mount) Picture 15 (Chuck #1 - Close-up) Picture 16 (Chuck #2 - Close-up) Picture 17 (Chuck #3 - Close-up) Picture 18 (Back of the Station #1, Close-up) Picture 19 (Back of the Station #2, Close-up) Picture 20 (Back of the Station #3, Close-up) Picture 21 (Vacuum On/Off Switch #1) Picture 22 (Vacuum On/Off Switch #2) Picture 23 (Microscope Travel Slide) Picture 24 (Thermocouple and Control #1) Picture 25 (Thermocouple and Control #2) Picture 26 (Thermocouple and Control #3) Picture 27 (Pressure Gauge #1) Picture 28 (Pressure Gauge #2) Picture 29 (Additional Prober Station Controls) Picture 30 (Additional Connections) $100.00 Minimum for packaging, handling, and order processing.
