The meter is new and works perfectly . No signs of wear or use visible. There is no software disc, and are no disposable cardboard mouthpiece tubes included in this sale. This listing is for the items shown in the photos only. The Micro MS01 Spirometer is specifically designed for situations where low cost precision respiratory measurement is required. Selected for heart-lung transplant programs world-wide as well as for major clinical trials, it has proven long-term accuracy and reliability together with the endorsement of a British Design Award. Low end-expiratory flows are often seen in COPD and Asthmatic patients. Micro Medical has developed a Gold Standard Transducer to ensure that such measurements are absolutely precise. Many other Spirometers cannot offer this. The Micro Spirometer will measure and display on it's high visibility screen FEV1 and FVC. The Carefusion Micro is the industry standard spirometer for lung volume measurements. It can measure both: FVC = forced vital capacity, the amount of air you exhale after a full inhalation (more typically referred to as vital capacity) and FEV1 = the volume of air you can exhale in 1 second. A spirometer is an indispensable training tool for freedivers and spearfishermen. By measuring your lung volume with a personal spirometer on a day-to-day basis, you can track large and significant volume changes, which occur as a result of stretching, training, or actual diving.
