Non-contact Hard disk/ wafer/ CD/ DVD or Stamper platter gauging platform. Utilizes patented non-contact capacitance measurement probes. Unit is setup for measuring hard drive platters , but can be easily adapted with a "Universal Platter" by removing 2 screws in a few minutes or just a small piece of aluminum or plastic disk as a DIY alternative. Simple one button operation, with clear, color coded display of PASS or FAIL on computer display, based on operator pre-established settings. Unit displays and measures minimum and maximum thickness, average thickness and taper(TTV) for each measurement scan operation. Unit self calibrates before each measurement providing excellent accuracy. Comes with stepped calibration gauges installed in the stage that recalibrates the unit each time a measurement is taken to maintain excellent accuracy. Much easier, versatile and faster than a manual operated Microsense 6033T unit. This unit makes the measuring, sorting and testing much more efficient than using a manual thickness/ taper tester. You can set up multiple testing parameters for different size substrates, and have the information logged to a excel compatible file. Thickness accuracy is : plus or minus 1 micron. Thickness Resolution: plus or minus 0.25 microns Thickness Repeatability: 1 sigma = 0.60 microns Measurements for taper/thickness are taken every 2.5mm. Measurement time is 2 seconds per scan. Limits can be set for maximum and minimum thickness allowing pass/fail indication. Taper start and end points can be set by the operator. Built in database saves thickness data along with other user set parameters. The database has fields that can be configured by the user for lot number, user number, tracking , sorting, etc. Individual measurement parameters can be set and stored for various user created templates. Non-contact sensors never touch the substrate. Operating system is monitored by internal machine diagnostics and error detection. Reliable, DOS based software has stable performance. Printer support. Gauging platform is 8" H x 11"W x 23" L. Power requirements are 90-250 VAC, 47-63 Hz, 200 watts maximum. The unit comes with 30, 40 and 50 mil gauge blocks, spare belts, software on disk and operating manual. Unit has been plugged in and tested with hard drive platters.
