Corning Hotplate Stirrer Clamp Support Rod Set for all Corning PC-XXXD series (also for PC-400, PC-410 and PC-420). Note: The hot plates, the probes and the beakers in the photos are for demo only, which are NOT included. 400 mm (15 3/4") pole with mid-size clamp. This clamp stands set can be directly installed on the Corning hotplate with the following models. It is for holding sensor and probe in the solution during the experiment. The compatible hot plate stirrer brands are, All Corning PC-XXXD series and some other Corning hotplate models, like, Corning PC-300D, PC-310D and PC-320D Corning PC-400D, PC-410D and PC-420D Corning PC-600D, PC-610D and PC-620D Corning PC-400, PC-410 and PC-420 Note, PC-600 will NOT fit. This is the best quality lab clamp stands you can found on the market. It is stylish, functional, stable and corrosion resistant. The low quality clamp stands on the market are made of plated steel rod, zinc joint and vinyl coated clamp finger. The plating will peel and cause rust. The zinc joint it heavy and difficult to hold tight. The vinyl fingers are easy to break and will only withstand up to 70 degree Celsius. A fail of the vinyl finger tip during the experiment can be dangerous. In contrast, our clamp stands are made of stainless steel and engineering polymer. The stainless steel are much more corrosion resistant than the plated steel and zinc. The engineering polymer can operate continuously up 160 degree Celsius. In addition, the elasticity of the engineering polymer it tuned to make the holding very tight. Since all the parts a solid without coating or paint, they will last and stay beautiful as long as the ceramic plate of the hotplate will. The original Fisher poles are made of aluminum which can be easily corroded by alkaline liquids. Specification The pole is 400 mm long. The length of the rod determines the maximum height of the beaker it can use. It also determines the longest probe it will hold stable. This pole is tall enough for 600 ml beaker and a 300 mm long probe . The cross linker piece uses a unique "raindrop " shaped hole to hold the clamp piece and the vertical rod together. This raindrop shaped hole allows you to securely hold a wide range of rod diameter size from 3 mm to 12.5mm (1/8 to 1/2" ). It is a very useful feature if you ever need to use are different size clamp or device.
