DESCRIPTION We no longer program these or tune them into the Ham band. Very Reduced Price! UP FOR AUCTION IS A MIDLAND 70-482B TRUNK MOUNT 80 WATT FM VHF RADIO WITH 80 CHANNEL CAPABILITY. These were taken out of service a few years ago and have been in storage. We test them before they are shipped. Please do not ask for specific testing frequencies. This makes a great 2 meter radio! It's a tough, quality radio that's excellent for mobile operation in any vehicle. Can be used in the home, truck, boat, RV, and all size automobiles. We have amateurs around town using these. I have used one myself in my vehicle for years. You'll receive all of the necessary cables, mounting brackets, and microphone for the radio, however you'll need to lengthen, splice and add fuses to the cables. This radio has CTCSS tone and scanning capability. These control heads have the following buttons: Mon. (monitor) which which disables tone squelch Pri. (priority) for use on priority channel. Scan to scan thru the frequencies you have programmed. The knobs are Off/Volume, Squelch, and Channel up/down. The programming determines how functions work, but this radio will scan and has priority function. The control head has the ignition mod which means there is a wire to provide power to it.
