MightyOhm Geiger Counter v1.0 with SBM-20 Geiger-Muller Tube This DIY kit was purchased originally from Adafruit and has been soldered and tested. It is fully functional and is ready to be used - just put some AAA batteries and turn the switch on! This can be used with Arduino, Raspberry PI or even directly with a desktop PC by using FTDI serial cable. The kit includes ATtiny2313 CPU and ICSP headers for programming. It is capable of generating around 300-600V so it can work with variety of different Geiger-Muller tubes. It has sockets (requires resoldering one of tube holders) for SI-3BG, SI-1G, and SBM-20 tubes. Additionally, it was tested to work with tubes such as LND 712. Due to the nature of the installed SBM-20 tube, this kit is mostly sensitive to gamma and (some) beta particles.
