ONLY 135 HOURS ON REBUILD AND WAS PURCHASED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA EMERGENCY MANAGMENT 4 YEARS AGO FROM THE D.O.D. AND THEN PURCHASED BY ME 1 YEAR AGO. Starts by pull start. And generates clean power like new. Please read the description closely. There is a lot of information to digest. I HAVE HAD THIS GENERATOR RUNNING......BUT This generator will need to have the Belly tank removed and mounted on the top so gasoline can gravity feed to the carburetor. The fuel diaphragm that pumps fuel from the belly tank to the carb is too brittle and cracked and can not be replaced to the best of my knowledge. I have done this to the one that I'm keeping and it works fine. Takes about 4 hours to do and mounting parts are readily available at any hardware store. And by using the existing belly tank mounting straps. YOU WILL NEED TO BE MECHANICLY INCLINED. I'M ALSO THINKING IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE TO REBUILD THE DIAPHRAGM WITH THE PROPER MATERIAL. BUT THAT WAS OUT OF MY SCOPE OF EXPERTISE. I INITIALLY TESTED THE MECHANICS OF THE GENNIE BY GRAVTY FEEDING A 1/2 GALLON CONTAINER DIRECTLY INTO THE FUEL LINE AND RAN IT FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. IT DOES RUN. Original cost was about $9,000. See below POWER HEAD AND MOTOR REBUILT SEVERAL YEARS AGO. 120 volt single phase 240 volt single phase 120 volt 3 phase 120 / 208 vlt 3 phase. Skid mounted. Approximate Weight (LB):385 (does not include pallet or plywood) Approximate Dim. or Lot Cube: 35" x 24" x 25"(L x W x H) This information was obtained from the DOD IF YOU WANTED TO RETROFIT IT WITH A NEW YANMAR DIESEL ENGENE. "The Army's retrofit kit consists of 53 parts, including a diesel engine. It costs about $2,100, or $6,900 less than a new generator would cost. It can be ordered from DSCC (source of supply number S9C) by citing national stock number (NSN) 2815-01-440-4426." The Marine Corps' retrofit kit contains 20 parts, including a diesel engine, and costs about $2,600, or $6,400 less than a new generator would cost. It can be ordered from DSCC by citing NSN 2920-01-418-0970. It can be shipped. But I'll have to crate them up at a fee of $85 and freight. I'm estimating total weight (Generator and Carton) to be about 345 pounds. AND SHIPPING WOULD VARY WILDLY DEPENDING ON WHERE IT IS GOING AND IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS WITH A DOCK AND FORKLIFT. OR A PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL WITHOUT THE ABOVE ITEMS. GUESSING THE EXTREMES WOULD START AT $200 TO $475 FOR A BUSINESS AND TACK ON ANOTHER $100 IF YOU ARE A PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL. I would prefer you pick up. Starting in July of LAST year (2011) Ebay started charging "Final Value fees" based on BOTH the final sale price of the item. AND...THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES. The seller community is up in arms over this greedy attempt to make more money for Ebay stock holders and inevitbly start chasing small sellers away from offering you deals on small items. Basicly it's going to double the amount it costs the seller in monthly fees for about 40% of the type of items I sell you. And in may cases the fees for small items like pouches and items less than $8 or $9 the fees charged for shipping will be double or triple the fees for the actual item. For example. If I sell you an item for $5.95 The final value fee would be $0.45 It would also cost $0.25 for the insertion fee. Lets say you want it shipped Priority mail at $5.95. That's nearly another $0.50 that they will soon be charging us a final value fee on. Then we have the cost of Paypal (just another form of Ebay since they own Paypal) $0.72 Thats a total of $1.86 IN FEES ALONE to sell a $5.95 item!! Not to mention the cost of the item, shipping supplies, Gas, lights, storage charges, insurance........You get the picture. I already pay an average if $1,200 a MONTH in Ebay fees alone. I estimate this may now get as high as $1,800 a months. Again just another greedy attempt by Ebay to make some huge profits. I do this for a living. And I can NOT take a $600 a month increase. I have no other options but to pass these costs along (like any other business would) to the buyer. I take pride in having the lowest cost items for military items. Just read my feedback. And I don't want to have to increase prices or shipping. But if I'm to survive I have no other choice. So in closing PLEASE undersand if the Shipping fees seem just a tad higher than normal. If a finger of blame must be pointed anywhere. Point it at the policy makers at ebay. ABOUT COMBINED SHIPPING.
