For auction is a used ready to go, rugged ex military MEP 003A 10 KW portable diesel generator that was used as a stand-by unit at our home. This generator is built by libby Welding for the U S Armed forces. When connected to our home it produced enough electricity to power the entire house and garage including the 52 gallon electric water heater and electric clothes drier. It can be fueled from the on-board tank or as we did by drawing heating oil from our heating oil tank. This is a great back up power source capable of running for days or even weeks without any problems. This generator can’t be compared to those box store generators usually made off shore with unavailable replacement parts. The MEP 003A generator family has a proven reliability record with many sets being shipped overseas to military units with up to 5000 hours on them without mechanical problems.
