For sale is a manual dividing plate with Jacobs 3 jaw Chuck. 1/16-1/2". This has 5 rings of circles on it. They are..... 7-8-9-10-12    This gives the user the ability to divide a round object into the following amounts. 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-12 You simply install the item to be divided in the chuck and then set the brass pointer to the correct circle of dots. You then manually turn the unit to the next stopping point by lining up the dot with the arrow. You then perform your machining procedure and then go to the next stopping point.   This can be used on a drillpress or a milling machine.  Please note that this is not a super accurate device that would be used to manufacture parts for a race car or aircraft. If you need accuracy like that go ahead and buy a $700 rotary table or dividing head. This is for a home shop machinist or a hobbyist that would like a quick easy way to provide divisions on their parts. If you have fairly good vision you can create a circle of holes that looks like they were done on a computerized drilling machine. The holes on the sample parts were spot drilled using this device and then finished in a drillpress. (See pics) The unit comes with the wooden base the drill chuck the brass dividing plate and a brass arrow pointer. The sample gears are not part of the sale.  The keyless chuck is the type that makes a ratchet clicking sound as you tighten it on your part.  Will mail same day if paid before noon eastern.
