Overall, this unit consists of mostly new parts, excluding the case and housing. The Milwaukee 6509-22 reciprocating saw comes fully refurbished with a case and blades included. The housing was repaired with a welder and is under the rubber sleeve. Our Milwaukee trained technicians conducted a full rebuild using only OEM Milwaukee parts in order to save you money. The unit required new switches, brushes, and other essential parts. I believe that this saw will outlast any issues arising from the housing repair, for at least 5-10 years. In terms of electrical and mechanical performance, this saw scores a solid 95++. If you're looking for a hard-working saw with lots of power, the genuine Milwaukee 6509-22 is the one for you. And as an added bonus, it also comes with free shipping to the domestic 48 continental states! While its cosmetic appearance scores an 82-87, the money was spent on important parts, not just "pretty" ones. The unit was then reassembled and tested to meet top published specifications.

“THIS UNIT WAS A FULL TEAR DOWN BY MILWAUKEE TRAINED TECHNICIANS USING ONLY GENUINE OEM MILWAUKEE PARTS THAT WAS DONE OFF SITE TO SAVE YOU MANY DOLLARS. THE UNIT REQUIRED NEW SWITCHES, BRUSHES IN THE MOTOR, AND OTHER PARTS. BASICALLY THIS UNIT OTHER THAN THE CASE AND SOME HOUSING IS MOSTLY NEW PARTS. THE ONLY ISSUE THAT WE DID NOT REPLACE WAS THE HOUSING ITSELF, THAT WOULD HAVE MADE THE JOB NOT FINANCIALLY FEASIBLE. WE DECIDED TO REPAIR THE CASE WITH WELD AND A WELDER. I FULLY FEEL THAT THE SAW WILL WEAR OUT, 5-10 YEARS FROM NOW BEFORE ANY ISSUES ARISE FROM THE CASE REPAIR. THAT REPAIR IS UNDER THE RUBBER SLEEVE. THE UNIT WAS THEN RE-ASSEMBLED AN TESTED TOP PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL, A SOLID 95++ IN ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL BUT IN COSMETIC IT SCORES 82-87. WHAT YOU WANT IS THE MONEY SPENT ON PARTS THAT ARE IMPORTANT NOT "PRETTY" PARTS. IF YOU WANT A HARD WORKING SAW WITH LOTS OF POWER, THEN THIS IS IT.”
