This is an interesting set of Morse Taper, High Speed Steel, Roll Forged, Twist Drill Bits. As listed, there are 8 bits in mint condition. None show any real signs of wear, and a few I can't tell if they have been used or not, they are just perfect. The bits have a black oxide finish, and most of the bits still have a Cosmoline type anti-corrosion grease from the factory. What is interesting is the set itself. It's a complete set in a manufactured metal case with proper markings and hole sizes for each bit. 2 of the bits are MT#3, and the other 6 are MT#4. The metal carrying case is rather complex. The holes are very specific in size and their is a double bottom in the case, so that there are 2 holes for each bit. The case is missing the carrying handle, but still has the proper hardware. It also has latches on each side to lock it. The sizes are also interesting and listed in this exact order: 1 1/32" MT#3 1 1/16" MT#3 1 3/32" MT#4 1 1/8" MT#4 1 1/4" MT#4 1 7/32" MT#4 1 3/16" MT#4 1 5/32" MT#4 This is really a very nice set of Morse Taper High Speed Drill Bits, and the Metal Case and sizing makes it a bit unusual which is interesting. Although this set is definitely a vintage set of some sort, all the bits are 100%, have no rust or corrosion and are ready to be put to work.
