It is made of Solid Swedish Tool Steel which is one of the best steels made. The face and edges on this anvil are close to perfect. The rebound is fantastic and it has a clear sharp ring. The anvil's trademark reads; "SODERFORS,SWEDEN, 100 LBS, 1928, 3". It's also marked with their trademark CREST. The opposite side the name is cast in relief "SODERFORS, SWEDEN". There are additional markings on the front foot including the date 1928, the back foot and the heel. You can't find them much nicer than this one, don't miss it.
