SYSTEM SENSOR HAS THE POLLING PROTOCOL THAT IS USED BY FCI, MIRCOM, EST (IRC-3), AND MANY OTHER MANUFACTURERS  AND PRODUCES A 2251 SMOKE HEAD WITH EST LABELING, FCI LABELING, THUS THIS MIX-2251B IS A AT ITS CORE A SYSTEM SENSOR 2251 SMOKE DETECTOR. IT WILL OPERATE ON OTHER MANUFACTURERS PRODUCTS, AS LONG AS THEY ARE USING THE SYSTEM SENSOR POLLING PROTOCOL. IF YOU ARE USING 2251'S, THIS CAN WORK ON YOUR LOOP. OF COURSE, MANUFACTURERS WANT YOU TO USE THEIR LABELED PRODUCT, SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU MORE FOR THEIR PRODUCT.  MIX-2251B Intelligent Low Profile Photoelectronic Smoke Sensor Intelligent plug-in photoelectric smoke detectors with integral communication provide features that surpass conventional detectors. Detector sensitivity is continuously monitored and reported to the FX-2000 Fire Alarm Control Panel. Point ID capability allows each detector’s address to be set with decade address switches, providing exact detector locations for selective maintenance when chamber contamination reaches an unacceptable level.
