This item is a precision machined medical device that can be used in multiple ways. It was manufactured by Misdom-Frank, which I believe is a German firm.  It includes a tuning fork for audio testing and for testing vibration sensation, both air and bone conduction. It has a percussion hammer for testing reflexes and a hidden but readily accessible pin wheel for testing pain sensibility. It also has a hidden but readily accessible brush for tests of the skin and surface sensibility. I believe it should also include a small “Pin” or “Needle” which I think would be stored in one of the “legs” of the Tuning Fork portion of the instrument but that item appears to have gone missing. Generally, except for the apparent missing part, this Medical Tuning Fork appears to be in Excellent condition. The rough surface of the part that must be unscrewed to access the pin wheel appears slightly discolored but does not seem to present any real issue.  New Medical Tuning Forks of this design are offered for sale at over USD $200.00 !
