The world's first hand-held field RF strength analyzer with wide band reception from 100kHz to over 2060MHz At about 700g and roughly the size of a walkie-talkie, the MIT3201 is lightweight and ideal for use in the field. User friendly, menu driven controls mean a wide range of operators can use the analyzer intuitively. Although simple to use, the MIT3201 is capable of complex functions. For example, 160 channel levels can be displayed simultaneously on the LCD display and up to 1600 different frequencies with channel names can be logged, recalled, edited and exported. Its wide band reception also makes the MIT3201 a very versatile tool. Metering down to 100kHz, the analyzer is suitable for low power work in the AM broadcast band. Similarly, newer, low power RF transmitters on the market such as wireless computer peripherals and remote controls can be readily tested. The MIT3201 uncovers more exotic transmitters used as bugs, including 900 MHz wireless video cameras, small FM transmitters and CB radios small enough to slip into a pocket. Typical uses for the MIT3201 are the testing, installation and maintenance of mobile telecommunications systems, CB radio antennae and satellite television receivers. Sources of RF interference from other domestic devices such as light dimmers can also be efficiently diagnosed.  Ideal for testing, installation and maintenance of: Mobile telecommunication system Cellular phone Cordless phone CB radio Paging system Cable TV Satellite TV reception Hidden camera detection Tele-tapping detection Specifications: Frequency range: 100KHz ~ 2060MHz Accuracy: ±25ppm Reception mode: N-FM/W-FM/AM/SSB Step frequency: Multiples of 5KHz and 6.25KHz at 5KHz to 9995KHz Channel memory: 10Bankx160ch (1,600 channels) Data memory: 10Bankx160ch (1,600 channels) Setup memory: 10Bankx3 Scan mode Reception sensitivity: Approx. 0~6dbµV EMF (S/N: 12dB at N-FM, 10dB at W-FM) Scan speed: 12.5ch/sec max Input impedance: 50ohm (standard) Maximum input voltage: Max. 5Vrms Sound output: 120mW into 8ohm speaker
