Great mics! I've liked these best because the shape allows you to measure part thickness while a block is still on parallels in the vise. If you're off a thou on one corner, you can place an indicator on that corner and adjust to what this mic tells you. It came in real handy with mold plates that required flatness but couldn't be ground. I bought them used, but I took good care of these and never left them out on the bench. They have carbide tipped anvils and they are still smooth and mirror-like, and line up perfect on both 1" and 2" standards. Nothing better than measuring tools you can count on. I've moved on to programming only and have no use for these at work anymore. I'm sure someone will appreciate these for years to come.
