Mitutoyo - 350-357-10CAL Digimatic Micrometer Head W/ Calibration, in/Metric, 0 The calibrated Mitutoyo 350-357-10CAL Digimatic digital micrometer head is for taking measurements in environments where dust and water protection is needed. This gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 1" (0 to 25.4mm), a resolution of up to 0.00005" (0.001mm), and an accuracy of + or - 0.0001". The LCD screen displays in inches and metric units. This instrument has a plain stem for straightforward measurements. The end is spherical with a carbide tip for durability. Mitutoyo calibrated tools include a Certificate of Calibration that provides evidence that the tool has been calibrated and is within allowable error specifications. Mitutoyo calibrated tools are certified by Mitutoyo's American Association for Laboratory Accreditation-accredited calibration laboratory (A2LA Certificate #750-01) to the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025 International Standard for testing and calibration laboratories.Additional functions offered by this model include origin point setting, zero setting, automatic on and off after 20 minutes of idle time, and an error alarm in case of an overflow on the LCD, a computing error, or a low battery. The unit has a battery life of approximately 1.2 years of normal use. An SR-44 battery is included. This micrometer head offers serial data output (using optional SPC cables with a data switch, sold separately), which increases speed and reliability of digital measurement records.SpecificationsDisplay typeLCD displays in both inches and metric unitsSpindle stylePlain with a spherical end, carbide tippedRange0 to 1" (0 to 25.4mm)Resolution (LCD)0.00005" (0.001mm)Graduation (Stem)0.001mmAccuracy+ or - 0.0001"Data outputYesShipping weight0.7lb.Power sourceSR-44 batteryMicrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.What's in the Box?Mitutoyo 350-357-10CAL micrometer headSR-44 batteryCertificate of Calibration Product Features: Calibrated micrometer head measures 0 to 1" (0 to 25.4mm) with 0.00005" (0.001mm) resolution and + or - 0.0001" accuracy, for use in harsh workshop conditions LCD screen displays in inches and metric units Plain stem for straightforward measurements Spindle is spherical and has carbide facing for durability Includes a Mitutoyo Certificate of Calibration that the tool has been calibrated, and meets the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025 International Standard for testing and calibration laboratories Dimensions (in): 1.86 X 8.45 X 3.59  Important Information: We offer discounted rates for bulk purchases, please inquire.
