 Mitutoyo Dial Caliper features a device for a low and constant measurement force for very sensitive measuring. This is needed when measuring elastic materials such as thin plastic rubber etc.  The additional force field device gives the caliper it's high sensitivity. Increments .0001" degrees and up to 8" in length. Re-calibrated. Does show slight cosmetic signs of use (slight scratches on constant force device) as photos accurately exhibit. Contact pressure: .49N to .98N (50 to 100gf) • Due to the low measuring force these calipers are ideal for elastic workpieces such as plastic parts that stan- dard calipers cannot measure. • Easy fine feeding with the thumb roller. • The jaw on the blade travels .012"/0.3mm. To measure resilient workpieces take the measurement when the pointer is between the two index lines
