This is from my Father’s print shop which originally was my Grandfathers, who had a printing business in the early 1900s. My Father used it through the 40s 50s, and it’s been lying around ever since. When the shop closed up, all the type was poured from the drawers into boxes. This is a random assortment of various sizes and various fonts. I believe they are an alloy of lead with about 18% tin and 28% antimony added to increase hardness and make it more durable. There are some small spacers included, the type that were used to separate words, but they are very minimal. Can be used to melt down for lead soldiers, fishing weights, bullets, etc. Picture is the actual type in this auction. Buyer pays $5.95 shipping via Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. Paypal is the only method of payment I am permitted to offer at this time. Questions welcome. Thanks for looking.
