The design of the binding allows the notebook to be opened flat making it easy to write from either side. I find this particular book much more satisfying to use than my PDA. It is much more organic than my handheld could ever be. An 18-page, box style Monthly Calendar has room for inserting simple notes and is convenient to use for planning vacations and noting other significant days.
