UP FOR AUCTION IS A NEW MOTIC D-EL2 LCD DIGITAL MICROSCOPE......... Summary This holiday season, treat the young scientist in your family to the Motic D-EL2 digital microscope. The Motic D-EL2 is also a terrific way to bring digital microscopy into the classroom. With LED illumination, it has the twin benefits of being easily moved between classrooms while also negating the risk of little feet tripping over wires! Coupled with a built-in digital camera sensor, the D-EL2 sends live images to a 3.5 inch LCD display, or right to a computer through a normal USB connection. With the included Motic application software, any image can easily be quantified, measured, edited, recorded and much more. Microscope This monocular compound microscope includes three glass-coated objectives (4x, ,10x, 40x Spring) to provide crisp images. The LED illumination provides upper and lower illumination and is rated for 50,000 hours life with illumination equivalent to a 20W tungsten bulb. The flexible top illumination, in combination with the 4X objective, allows observation of non-transparent materials such as fabric and paper products. Microscope Camera The 5.0MP digital camera is built around a 1/4" CMOS sensor and allows for capture of high resolution images which can be saved to the internal 128mb memory, or on an SD card (not included). The Thin-Film-Transistor (TFT) viewing screen offers simply the best resolution available in an LCD environment. It is operated by intuitive display controls and features a handy multilingual menu interface to capture still images or video.
