This radio is a 7/800MHz radio!** Hello, Up for sale is a Motorola APX4500 7/800MHz mobile radio. I bought this radio for a project but the project never materialized. I have other radios and do not need this radio. The O2 control head is new, the brick is used. There are a couple scuffs on the brick but that doesn't affect functionality. This IS a TAGLESS radio. It DOES have a serial number which I was told was legitimate when I bought it used. Take that for what you will. The radio has the latest firmware, R14.51. This radio does NOT have developmental firmware. This radio programs with normal CPS and I've used the latest CPS, R14.01 to program it. Distributing CPS is not allowed by Motorola and I will not be including CPS with the sale. I've tested for basic transmit and receive which is does beautifully on P25 conventional. I can program conventional frequencies, contact me for info, but will not be programming trunking systems. If you're looking for a APX solution that IS NOT ultimately going to end up on a public safety trunking system, this is the radio for you. If you are thinking that you want to put this on a public safety trunking system, I would advise against it SOLEY because it DOES NOT have a tag. This radio uses the same accessories as the XTL-5000 mid power so you can swap out your XTL for the APX with minimal effort. All the technical specs are in the pictures...
