The XTVA Transportable Base Station is designed to enhance the operation of an XTS 3000, XTS 3500 or XTS 5000 portable radio. This highly versatile, rapid deployment product can be especially beneficial as a temporary base station with law enforcement command posts, military deployment, surveillance operations, emergency response teams, fire fighting support or in rental vehicles when temporary mobile installation is a requirement or when mobile covert communication packages are desired. The XTVA Transportable Base Station is packaged in a lightweight horizontal carbide black lockable aluminum suitcase. This product provides customers with the versatility of a “Jump and Run” communications package and the flexibility of a fixed or transportable base station. The XTVA Transportable Base Station operates with AC or DC power input, and allows in-vehicle or out of vehicle portable radio battery charging operation. The suitcase is equipped with a “mousehole” exit for cable routing outside the case, allowing for covert closed case operation. Also included is an RF power amplifier which corresponds to customer transmit frequency for any of three offered frequency bands. This XTVA Base Station is only functional when equipped with a Model II or III XTS 3000, XTS 3500 or XTS 5000 Handie-Talkie portable radio and an external antenna. However, the portable radio and antenna are not supplied with the XTVA Base Station.
