You are bidding on one used Motorola barcode scanner, model DS6707-SR20007ZZR. This is a 1D and 2D plus more. Can be programmed and can be extensively customized. Drivers, software and manuals are available from Motorola, just goggle ‘DS6707-SR20007ZZR’. Plug-n-play under Windows XP, Vista and Win 7. I tested it out with each of these systems. The OS sees this scanner as basically an input device (like a keyboard) that just feeds characters into whatever program is active. This scanner works. As it is currently set up, it reads various UPC barcodes and USPS tracking number barcodes. It is currently set up in active mode, you have to point the aiming marker at a code and pull the trigger. The scanner then reads the code, sends the characters to the computer and then does a confirmation beep. It can also be set up in a “hands free” mode. The scanner is mounted on a holder of some kind and it continuously looks for a readable code. You move a code into the scanner’s field of view, the scanner recognizes the code, send the characters to the computer and then does a confirmation beep. Manuals for this scanner of 348 pages and 372 pages attest to the versatility and the many ways it can be configured and programmed. This scanner is all solid state. That is, there are no rotating scanning mirrors or moving parts inside. The barcode to be read is seen by a small camera (like on a cell phone). The barcode is then rendered into a simple number by firmware within the scanner. Cosmetically this scanner is in excellent used condition. There are minor scuffs from normal light usage on the black rubber bumper around the scanning head, but that is about all the wear I can see. The laser window is clear with no scratches or clouding. The USB cord is well attached, not frayed, kinked or cracked. (The cord is removable from the scanner, it has a jack and locking mechanism similar to that of modular telephone cord jacks.) The cord is a bit under 7 feet long. The photos are of the actual item, SN 9190000500470, that you will receive. Look at the photos carefully because what you see in the photos is what you will get.
