The Murphy SDB-500-EX Switchgage is a temperature switch gauge that provides an accurate direct-reading gauge with an adjustable limit switch to activate alarms and/or shutdown. The device has an easy-to-read dial and a bi-metallic sensor that moves the pointer when the temperature exceeds the preset point. The temperature range of the SDB500, SDB501, and SDB500EX is 100 to 500В°F (40 to 260В°C), while the SDB1000 has a temperature range of 200 to 1000В°F (100 to 500В°C). The SDB500EX enclosure is explosion-proof, making it CSA listed for Class I, Group C and D hazardous locations. The Murphy temperature switch gauge is ideal for monitoring gas compressor temperatures, engine exhaust temperature, or helping coordinate loads on twin-engine installations. Its specifications include a 304 stainless steel sensing bulb material and size, maximum bulb pressure of 285 psi (1.97 MPa), and 1/2 NPTF process connection. The device's contact rating is 2 A @ 30 VAC, and its SWICHGAGEВ® Accuracy is В±3% of full scale.
