The blade is made from tool steel and then hardened to RC 45. The blades are stitched with a CNC machine which produces a uniform tooth pattern and height allowing for a steady removal rate and an even finish. This is considered a coarse cut rasp with 10 teeth per square centimeter. The handle is 5 3/4 inch long, 1 1/2 inches in diameter and has a brass ferrule. Handle is made hard and dense Hornbeam.
