This tape is designed to resist punctures and abrasion while remaining crisp and resistant to curling. It is moisture, solvent and abrasion resistant with a natural rubber adhesive that aggressively adheres to all surfaces. The low VOC content makes it an eco-friendly option, contributing to satisfying EQ Credit 4.1 (Low Emitting Materials) under LEED. This product is tested in accordance with UL 723 and has a total thickness of 13 mils. The Nashua 357 duct tape is a superior grade product known for its strength and clean-release properties. It resists delamination and tears straight, making it a favorite among professional contractors for trouble-free use. This tape is suitable for heating, air conditioning, ventilating and refrigeration applications and is perfect for sealing seams and joints in metal air handling systems. With an adhesion to steel of 95 ounces per inch, tensile strength of 50 pounds per inch, and an operating temperature range of 40 to 200 degree F, this duct tape can withstand a wide range of temperatures. It also has an elongation of 13 percent and meets smoke developed and flame spread standards of 20 and 15, respectively. The PE-coated cloth backing gives the Nashua 357 duct tape high tensile strength, making it perfect for difficult applications. It can also be used in the manufacture of flexible ducts equipped with metal collars, bonding, protecting, holding, repairing, patching, asbestos removal, and polyethylene hanging. For heavy-duty packaging and bundling, seaming and securing underlayment materials, plastering applications, as well as heavy-duty contractor and manufacturing uses, Nashua 357 duct tape is the go-to product.
