This is a National Optronice 6E optical edger and 4T tracer package. I recently purchased a practice which was using this edger and it had just received service form a National Optronics technician and I am not looking to add any edging at this time. The edger has 13326 cuts on it. Edger is in excellent condition and this purchase will include the vacuum, but I do not have any of the blocks that were used with the edger. The edger does ccome all manuals discs and an accessory kit, but not sure if this kit is fully complete. It comes with a power cable, manual and calibration tools. National Optronics edgers are capable of edging any material (except glass), with less slippage and crazing due the dry blade cutting rather than wet stone cutting. It has grooving, safety beveling and polishing built in one cycle. 6E Product Description A Patternless Edger that processes polycarbonate, Hi-Index, CR-39 and Trivex lenses with exceptional accuracy and speed.User Friendly The software is easy to use it accumulates reliable and accurate data for customers. The 6E is fully compliant with the current OMA standard. It can store an edger-resident database which permits adding and editing frame information.Dry-Cutting Accuracy The unique dry-cutting accuracy of the 6E allow the operator to process any CR-39, Polycarbonate, Hi-Index, and Trivex lens material faster and more accurately than most wet edgers and there are no messy coolants. Because the blades cut, not grind the lens edge, there is no rounding of the lens bevel, leading to tighter fit and better interface with the groove of the frame. The cutter utilized by the 6E provides superior bevel reproduction on high base lenses and allows for accurate edging of many complex shapes.Electric Chucking Electric chucking will automatically adjust clamping pressure depending on the lens material.Coated Carbide Cutter An extended-life coated carbide cutter comes standard with each 6E, thus increasing the number of jobs that can be processed on one blade.
