This auction is for 1 brand new, never used, thin type 1/16" profile, 4 1/2" diameter, genuine aluminum oxide construction, high speed (13,300rpm), 40 grit metal grinding cut-off wheel for hard iron or stainless steel. All cut-off wheels are not created equal! Additives in the resin influence the strength of the fiberglass matrix and can drastically effect the life of any abrasive wheel, so be careful buying cheaper wheels, if you can find them, because the bottom rung wheels use much weaker raw materials. These industrial strength wheels cut through even the toughest hardened steel screws quickly and easily in your 7/8 arbor angle grinder or high speed cutoff tool. Be sure to look around eBay for other listings of this brand for comparison. All aluminum oxide and mesh wheels wear as they cut, while continuously expose a new abrasive cutting surface. They never dull, they only wear out. These wheels wear around the edge and lose their diameter a bit faster than thicker offset profile or depressed center 1/8" wheels, but also cut much more quickly and efficiently. Because of this, significantly less net material is worn away with each cut, and the material costs and time are actually reduced for many jobs. For instance, while 50 cuts through iron re-bar might wear an 1/8" thick cut-off wheel past its usable diameter, and take 30 seconds to complete each cut, a 1/16" thin type wheel of the same quality, and around half the cost per unit, would make it through 35 - 40 of the same cuts taking more like 15 - 20 seconds per cut. Sure there would be an additional blade change involved, but for many jobs, these things absolutely hold an advantage over the more common (and expensive) 1/8" wheels. If you haven't yet, then try them, and if you use them, then these are great wheels at a great price, so go ahead and stock up! They are the only thin type wheel i use, and they stand up to the highest priced name brand equivalents with absolutely no downside. Items I sell as new are always new and unused, but I reserve the right to re-parcel items packaged and sold in bulk, or occasionally to remove factory packaging in light of shipping cost and efficiency. In the even that an original package is removed from an item, I try to be sure all relevant bar codes and UPC's are included as well as all items and paperwork packaged.
