This listing is for the new 2008 5 dollar bills update service for your existing MEI/Mars dollar bill validator for your vending and other validator applications.  In order to accept the new post 2008 bills you will need to have this done if you want to accept the bills. Please ship the existing validator (the cash box is not needed) to National Vending Warehouse and the address will populate after purchase. Please contact me for any questions and review the requirements needed for the validator to have the flashing for the new bills to be done. The return shipping price is for the return of the validator or validators.  For bulk orders please contact us directly. Thank you and please contact National Vending Warehouse or 5704362511 for any questions. ******MEI (mars) series VN 24XX and VN25XX bill acceptors manufactured after the 40th week of 1999 can be upgraded for the new currency.  The first three digits of the serial number determine the week and year of manufacture.  The first two are the week and the third digit is the year.   IF THE FOURTH DIGIT OF THE SERIAL NUMBER IS AN “8” IT IS UPGRADEABLE.  If not sure…. Call us! If any are sent that can not be updated it will be returned with a ten dollar check out fee.****
