Works for finding just about any satellite including VSAT, Free To Air ( FTA ), DIRECTV™ (powers the newest SWM technology), Dish Network, SPACENET, older HUGHESNET systems (Directway / HN6000 / HN7000 / HN7000S, etc. ), Wildblue and many more. It powers these systems including the newest HD DirecTV SWM and Dish Network systems. Note that it will not work with the old Hughesnet (Spaceway systems -modems model #'d HN9000 / HN9200 ) and will also not work with the new Hughesnet GEN4 system using modems HT1000 & HT1100 since these systems use a different pointing device. It will not work with EXEDE since the meter is built into the tria - it is not needed here anyway. -All defective items will be replaced at our expense for 14 days following receipt of item. The BirDog Ultra satellite finder is a small (6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 ”), lightweight (2.7 lbs w/ case) signal meter. It has become the meter of choice because of it's ability to rapidly find the satellite and peak the dish to the highest signal due to compatibility with the latest encryption coding, including 8PSK Turbo. The meter comes preloaded with the most popular satellites but is also programmable from it's own website, and allows the user to load the meter with only the files needed (Over 256 different files can be stored). The BirDog Ultra model has an easy to use spectrum display, a digital constellation screen and many other features, including a custom carrier feature wherein the user can create their own file on site.
