This is a brand new, unused kit of components from BrulTech that I personally hand selected and purchased from their website nearly two years ago. My intention was to use these parts to monitor the power usage for different circuits in my home in order to accurately sub-divide the PG&E bill across two tenant units in a structure with only a single power drop/meter - this becomes important when the electric bill starts ranging from $500-1000 during the winter on account of irresponsible use of low-grade, high wattage space heaters. So problem solved: the who-dunnit issue is addressed without question by monitoring the circuits that deliver power to each rental unit. I have the skills necessary to install, configure, write software, and access the data from this unit in a way that would have been meaningful to me. You would need similar skills, or at least access to someone with those skills, in order to fully leverage this kit. It is NOT a consumer-grade plug-and-play operation. I ended up selling the property before getting around to this project, so now the pieces are available for someone else who might be facing a similar issue. Included in this kit are: * (1) BrulTech Home Energy Monitor ECM-1240 capable of reading all sensors at once * (1) BrulTech "EtherPort" device (makes ECM-1240's RS232 accessible over Ethernet) * (2) Split 100 inductive sensors (allow installation of main feeds without disconnecting them) * (4) Micro 100 inductive sensors (require disconnection of low-amperage circuits to install) * All paperwork/instructions, etc. necessary All of the components are designed to be installed in or near a service breaker panel where they will be protected from the elements.
